What the 3 Flags Actually Are
None of these are a real detection of malicious code — we’ve reviewed the source directly. All three come from the same root cause: this app isn’t yet code-signed by a certificate authority, and it uses a Windows technology (loading the .NET runtime to render its interface) that a few heuristic engines treat with generic suspicion when they see it in an unsigned file. It’s a well-known false-positive pattern for independently published desktop software, not a sign of a real payload.

The Smart App Control Warning
Some newer Windows 11 machines ship with a feature called Smart App Control turned on by default. Unlike a normal SmartScreen warning — which you can click through with “Run anyway” — Smart App Control blocks unsigned software outright, with no override. If the installer says something like “this app was blocked” or “could not verify,” this is almost certainly why, not a sign anything is actually wrong.
If you hit this: check Settings → Privacy & security → Windows Security → App & browser control → Smart App Control. Turning it off unblocks the install — but it’s a one-way setting on Microsoft’s end (it can’t be turned back on without reinstalling Windows), so only do this if you’re comfortable with that trade-off. We’d rather you know that up front than hit a wall with no explanation.

We’re pursuing an Organization Validation certificate under our registered business, Synthesis Technologies LLC. A verified publisher identity is what actually resolves the Microsoft/SecureAge/K7 heuristics — not a packaging change.

Every section on this page gets updated with the new results, and the download itself carries a verified “Synthesis Technologies LLC” publisher badge in Windows — no more warning screen at all for most users.
